If you follow me on Instagram you’re probably familiar with my love and fascination with mushrooms. When I am not spending time on my studio painting, or in my garden, I am in the woods searching for edible and medicinal mushrooms. This playful piece was a fun experiment in the studio – I’m not sure there will be more like this.
This particular mushroom is of an Amanita which is indicated by the white spots on top – those spots are remnants of a universal veil.
