  • I absolutely fell in love with chalking this past weekend at @crystalbridgesmuseum’s first Chalk Fest (despite the ridiculous humidity). This was my first time jumping into this new medium and I have zero regrets! I had a vague idea of what I wanted to draw but I simply trusted the process and my intuition to lead me through this design and message. One of the other artists called me “freehand Annie” bc I didn’t have an image to work from. I just trusted the spirit to guide me through this one and naturally...magic happened. The people I met, the intimate stories shared with me and the gratitude the community expressed for this message nearly brought me to tears on more than one occasion. I’m hooked. Sign me up for a chalk fest near you!

SWIPE to see a pic of me in front of the mural that @evesstudio and I collaborated on this year and finished a couple of weeks ago. Find it on the back of @shelbylynnscake shop! Creating art in the public for the public is a gift I don’t take lightly. It’s been a pleasure meeting so many of you irl. Much love.🙏🏼🖤
  • FRIENDS! Come by @crystalbridgesmuseum this Saturday and Sunday for CHALK FEST! I’m one of the 30 artists from across the nation that will be creating a temporary work of art at this fun, family-friendly festival! Aaaaand you bet your bottoms my nature-themed piece will feature some mushrooms! .

ALSO, Hi! It’s been a long minute since I’ve felt the need to post here. I’ve been doing some long awaited deep, intricate, and delicious work on my self these past few months. I have been called to slow down. To reconnect with the land. To reset my pace and to listen. I believe in creative seasons and at 35 years old I’m finally learning to respect this. I’ve been in conversations with many of you privately over these past few weeks and many of you have heard me speak about the necessity of rest. It hasn’t been easy and after two weeks it’s beginning to finally feel nice. (Can we say withdrawals?) I’m reacquainting myself with silence. With my garden. With the forest. Believe me, the urge to pick up my phone first thing in the morning is very real. And breaking this mindless program has not been easy - but necessary for my own personal growth, artistic integrity, and clarity. My sometimes unexplainable fascination and love for foraging mushrooms and absorbing as much knowledge as I can through attending workshops and practice is unwavering. Just as unwavering as my art. This I can’t ignore. So I have been in the woods, meandering off the trails, and finding myself in creek beds more than ever. I’m so grateful for the incredibly wide network of beautiful people (that means each of you) and friends that surround me and have supported me through this time of silence. I’m not done yet. And may never be at this rate. Tbh, I’m having a hard time making sense of social media these days but that doesn’t mean I’m leaving...just basking in my season of rest. Much love, Amber🖤

  • I woke up feeling totally inspired this morning after days of staring at the same works of art and feeling nothing. I finally landed on something I’m happy with. This new black and gold number is a prototype for a really huge project that I hope to share with you all soon. Check my stories to see a close up!
  • This week I completed this piece as a part of my “shadow work” series. It left the studio this morning on its way to it’s new home in Little Rock thanks to @curatedbykin.
  • It’s been a strange few weeks trying to find my rhythm back in the studio. But I’m finally tapping back into my magic and I’m eager to see what the summer holds for my art. The @creativesocialretreat is coming up in June and we still have a few spots left if you’d like to join us - please do! I’m also still dreaming of creating an oracle deck and have an incredible idea that I’m going to pitch and try to get a grant to fund the project. I’m going to begin sketching some ideas for that soon and sharing them on my stories. This week I’m finishing up three commissions for some devoted collectors that I’m so grateful for. The painting pictured here is currently on display at @theapolloonemma with a special dinner party now happening on July 18 - follow them to get tickets! All good things in the works. Thanks for hanging in here with me even though I haven’t been posting much. I’m grateful for all of your support.🙏🏼
  • I have a new collection of works on display at @theapolloonemma!
