My dear friend Natalie got me the 2012 leah duncan calendar! I’m elated! I’m so lucky to have such incredible people in my life that know how to tug on my heart strings.

Here are my two contributions to the Arts Center of the Ozarks annual 5 x 5 inch canvas fundraiser. Area artists are given a canvas (or sometimes 2!) to do with as they please and then return for an auction to raise money for the non-profit organization.
some new found inspiration.
lovely etchings {and mixed media prints} by colleen kinsella of portland, maine.
I recently joined artsprojekt so that i could add my artwork and designs to products. above is only a tad of the work i’ve done-i hope you like them as much as i do.
i recently designed these halloween cards. super cute and available for purchase in my shop!
this is rather addictive, expect more to come!
here is a drawing I completed several months ago. thanks to my husband introducing me to this about 5 years ago, I now appreciate and prefer the delicious taste of french press coffee.
OH, and if you haven’t noticed. I now have a “shop” tab here on my webpage.
here it is! raine’s first published book, including 4 stories written and illustrated by herself.
this turned out fantastic. shes says that she would like to make more. so perhaps this is merely the beginning. im proud of her and inspired by her stamina…she worked diligently to make this book happen.
and of course, a special thank you to the papa that spent endless nights making this book happen!

i have recently fallen head over heels for the artist ben shahn. his work is spectacularly inspiring.
our friend suzanne recently made a limited edition coloring book with crayons and we were fortunate enough to get the artist’s proof. well….raine was lucky enough to get it!

i found this while flipping through a book at the library yesterday. i find great comfort and inspiration in this watercolor by charles demuth from 1918.
wish i could say that i made this, but unfortunately jennifer davis beat me to it! this would have made my christmas wish list had it not already been sold out.

i LOVE these digital prints of collages that brandi strickland has created.
*note: these are for sale for a very reasonable price at little paper planes.

hello there. yes….
…it has been too long. i hope that this post is the beginning of many. i have so much to catch you all up on. unfortunately i am not at my own computer and am unable to post images from my lovely summer. but in hopes of reconnecting, i will share some inspiration with you.
It’s been a while I know…not posting on my blog does not mean that I have stopped producing art though. I have a sketch in the current issue of underground art school‘s magazine! I was pretty excited to be a part of this magazine! To preview or purchase, just click the image above!

does it get any better than this? ive been burning to create this sort of performance/living art for a few months now. one of my plans is to place an empty strip of primed canvas in a highly trafficked area and let the canvas be created by the elements its surrounded by. essentially…leave a snail trail. i cannot express to you how much seeing Semâ Bekirovic‘s piece excites me!
