what Fall feels like…

rose garden

Lately I have felt a twinge of Fall in the air….its probably just wishful thinking as its been nearly 90 degrees this entire week, but I’m still patiently (or not so patiently) awaiting my favorite season. This picture is of course from last year and seeing it only fed my Fall-infested thoughts. This picture reminds me of the great day that Jonathan and I had walking around Fayetteville. He wound up at the Dickson St. Book Store, while I stayed at the Walton Arts Center’s rose garden to catch up on Jonathan’s recommended reading of Kurt Vonnegut’s “Slaughterhouse-Five”….cant you just taste the peppermint and feel the cool breeze?

blueberry-lemon tart {mmm}

{mmm}

A large tart that Raine and I made for Jonathan’s birthday. Even though the crust turned out ridculously hard, it still tasted delicious!

strawberry platters

Hand-dipped strawberries and pretzels for Raine’s teachers at school.

Fruit Labels

I was doing a search for snow owls to get a good understanding as to how they look for un upcoming print I would like to do. During my search, I came across this lovely company that designs labels for fruit crates. I love these designs. Very inspiring.

Kennedy Coffee Exhibition

Exhibiting again…finally. It has been awhile, since Common Grounds in fact, that I have exhibited my paintings anywhere. I have gotten a little gig at a nice Coffee house/Roasting company in Bentonville, Arkansas called Kennedy Coffee. I forget how refreshing it can be to display your works!
