probably should have posted this a little sooner. but, my work is currently on display (along with several other amazing printers in our area) at Fayetteville Underground. its a new gallery in our area, and is actually in its early stages of development. The area is stunningly beautiful in a renovated building on the downtown square. I encourage anyone in the area to check it out. unfortunately the reception was thursday, but the show will be up through april!

shes one tough girl…. im proud of her; she didnt even cry, thats not to say she wasnt a little scared, but she definitely stuck it out!

here’s a quick little drawing i threw some watercolor onto…i think shes sort of cute….even with the big mole-looking-thing on her face.
hope youre all having a good friday {thirteenth}!!

when i was younger i often played outside alone, or with my younger, twin neighbors. fortunately for us, we lived near a wooded area, so there was always plenty to explore (in our little world). one thing i remember doing with my friends was pasting feathers, sticks, and strings to trees with mud. Often times too, we would tie rocks to strings to dangle down for our enjoyment.
with this said, i drew this picture without even giving a second thought to my childhood. it wasnt until i was done with it that i remembered the tree we enjoyed as kids. funny how our subconscious works, isnt it?

(and another beard)
i have actually been planning on sewing onto this, but havent yet….as soon as that happens i will let you know!

here is a watercolor study of warm and cool colors i recently did.

as promised….here are my newest linoleum cuts. the one with the brown beard turned out a little….eh…..i am partial to the solid blue simply because of its cleaner lines.
once i get my registration lined up again for a print that i have already started…{eh-hem….after a little dilemma in the print shop}, i will have more prints hot off the press!

not so sure i would sit here….
it started off really pretty, then as usual, i couldnt leave it alone, so it turned out like this. but i really like the direction that my trees have taken recently.

tape…with a splash of color. i used this for trisha’s birthday card.
